The H-J Family of Companies is Hiring a Quality Inspector Near High Ridge, MO

Summary: Responsible for assisting the quality manager and quality team in the management of the product quality.

Essential Functions

  • Inspection and/or testing of incoming, in-process, and finished materials to specifications; by conducting visual and measurement tests.
  • Participate in corrective action activities to improve overall quality.
  • Perform line audits for product conformance to standard.
  • Document inspection and audit findings in the appropriate systems.
  • Perform tests on materials and components.
  • Complete full dimensional checks and reporting for sample parts.
  • Properly maintain measurement equipment
  • Review and understand the requirements of the Quality Management System
  • Use procedures, work instructions, and reference materials to ensure process quality.
  • Provide feedback on possible improvements to processes and procedures.
  • Assist in the evaluation of materials, including sort and rework.
  • Remove and return components and/or finished goods from warehouse locations with use of fork truck or other material handling equipment.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and/or reading technical publications, as appropriate
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Good understanding of inspection techniques and use of measurement equipment
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and perform physical dimensional measurements to ensure product is manufactured according to specifications.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Should be analytical and have good mathematics skills.
  • Will work independently and should be able to manage time effectively to complete projects on time

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for the vast majority of the shift.
